The Twelve Tasks of Hounslow

The challenge that I have set myself is to complete twelve tasks. I don’t really expect to meet all twelve of them but I will give them each a good crack. There will be some rules for each - some might change as we go. I’ll go into each separately in different posts to give a better understanding of what each task is about. This will also help me reach Task 6!

 

1. Lose weight - lose 12 kilos

2. Read more - read 12 books

3. Establish networks - connect/reconnect with 12 people

4. Family events - attend 12 dedicated family events

5. Complete a to do list - complete a list of 12 to do items

6. Create written content - post 120 blog posts

7. Create audio content - create 12 podcast episodes

8. Increase wealth - increase effective income by $12k

9. Run more - run 1200 km

10. Community service - volunteer 12 hours

11. Fundraise - raise $1200

12. Complete a list of challenges

 

Buy completing these tasks, I look to improve myself as a person in different aspects of my life. It may be about improving relationships with people, improve my physical and financial health, or just to create better practices. Some may have hidden goals (for example, a few will rely on me playing less games on my iPad! That’s a habit I want to break!) Some tasks will cross over - hopefully the running will help shed a few kilos. Reality is that they all lead me to ditching some bad habits and creating a better future for myself and those around me.
